Sherry ribs beef stew recipe

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a heavy saucepan over medium heat cook until bacon grease produced and bacon is cooked. Remove the cooked bacon with a slotted spoon, so that the fat in the pan. Reserve Bacon. Season the beef ribs generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Heat on all sides, ribs and upper middle and brown. Short Remove

Ribs and onions. Reduce heat to medium and cook for about 5 minutes until the onions are soft.

Add garlic and flour, and fry for 2 minutes. Whisk in sherry, reduce heat to high and bring to a boil, scraping up browned bits on the bottom of the pan. Add the beef broth, thyme, bay leaf, beef ribs and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

When the liquid begins to boil, cover tightly and bake. Boil for 2 hours. The lid and test Carefully remove for the kitchen - meat should be soft. When this is done, remove from the oven. Let stand covered for 15 minutes. Then look excess fat from the top, taste for salt and serve ribs with some braising liquid covers.
